The Ultra 1 Reform RX‑S is NordicTrack’s premium connected Pilates reformer designed for studio-quality training at home. It pairs a patented Enclosed Spring System and Smart Spine™ performance tracking with a 24" HD touchscreen and integrated iFIT instruction. An iFIT membership is required to access on-demand classes and live tracking features.
Smart Spine™ is a proprietary sensor system inside the reformer’s central spine that measures carriage movement and spring resistance in real time. It converts that motion into performance metrics: power (watts), cadence, and estimated calories, shown on the touchscreen. Heart rate appears when a compatible chest strap or Bluetooth HR monitor is connected. An iFIT Pro membership is required for full tracking and post-workout data.
The Enclosed Spring System places all resistance springs inside a sealed central spine so nothing is exposed to catch hair, clothing, or fingers. It removes the need to manually hook springs and uses push-button resistance, reducing setup time and the risk of accidental contact while maintaining consistent studio-grade resistance.
The RX‑S offers 11 resistance levels ranging from 22-143 lbs (10–65 kg). These levels are controlled by four color-coded push-button springs (green, blue, red, white), allowing quick adjustments for everything from rehab exercises to high‑intensity training.
The Center Line Balance Beam is the reformer’s enclosed central rail that stabilises carriage motion and supports balance exercises. It provides a more stable platform for single-leg and transitional movements than open-frame designs.
The RX‑S has a slightly larger footprint, a traveling footbar instead of split footbars, and four push-button resistance springs instead of three on the standard Ultra 1. This gives the RX‑S higher maximum resistance and finer incremental control for advanced training.
Yes. The carriage rides on stainless steel glide tracks along an anodised aluminum spine, which produces less noise than traditional steel-on-steel setups. This is especially useful for shared living spaces and home gyms.
Yes. The RX‑S has a continuous, traveling footbar with seven positions so users can quickly set the best position for their height, flexibility, and exercise form.
